Happily on shore after two weeks with no time to solve (don’t think I would’ve solved last week’s even with more time). It was quicker than it should have been because as I was filling the grid my husband read a work email out loud which immediately led me solve. He isn’t taking credit for the win, he’s just happy I won’t be asking him meta advice all weekend.

Solved and ashore. Great puzzle as always from Mr. Shenk.
While on the beach, think I’ll continue to tinker with Mr. Sisti’s MMM. 🤔

Ashore!
Checked the forum at work and saw page 3 before it was even 5pm! Figured I wouldn’t rush to solve.
Got the kiddos in bed, sat down with an ungin&T (curse you Dryanuary) - and thoroughly enjoyed it when I finally got a moment to myself.

Toes in the warm beach sand.

This meta would be a great case study or article on "How To Solve the WSJ Weekly Contest" :

easy to grasp
fun construction
introduction to "outside-the-box" thinking in contest puzzles

After last week, this one warmed my heart! :)

I'm going to have to "research" that one, I've a fondness for Founders Breakfast Stout.

I love Founders Breakfast Stout too. The Lagunitas is pretty tasty and strong. Cheers!

Ashore! Maybe a personal record for quickest meta-solve yet! Had one quick peek down a rabbit hole, but my next idea was the right one. That was fun.
