Ah. I see. Following directions has always been my nemesis.

As we used to say in New England, dawn breaks over marble head. Now that I'm ashore, a lobstah would be nice!

Happy New Year to all muggles, asea and ashore!

Ashore. I’m definitely with the couple of you who pretty much got it but had a tad of doubt at the very end. But I realized my slight misunderstanding and am now confident of my answer.

Ashore, with a red blend in hand. Fun meta to end the year!

Ready to celebrate the end (for us at least) of the holiday season with visiting family here in our home in Monroe County in the Poconos Mountains. A place that seems to be the hideout of choice for various murderers, it seems. Joseph Massino, Eric Frien, Tyrone Johnson, and today: Bryan Kohberger. In 2015, a New York Times article ranked the Pocono Mountains #2 on the list of 10 best places to dump a body, just behind the Louisiana swamps. Well, my place here is my little getaway....

No, that's NOT why I'm here.

Yes, I've considered going back to the city (Philly) where, oddly, it seems safer, relatively speaking, at the moment.

Okay, okay, I admit it. I considered going back to get away from the screaming tantrums of the 6 year old nephew staying for 5 days.

More wine, please!

Always wish I could join the Zoom. But my kids and I have a traditional Zoom solve at 6pm Friday.

Here's to a happy ending to 2022, and hopes for a better 2023 for everyone!

2nd day in, still nothing. Feeling pretty dumb sitting alone in the lounge. Thankfully Isaac doesn't judge. He's offering me comfort (Southern, that is). Not quite ready to raise the white flag yet. Sleep on it tonight and see what the morrow brings! Much respect to all you solvers who get these so quickly!

Happy and safe New Years to all of you!
Good luck to all for a successful solve. If you see that I'm ashore - rare occasion of late - message me if you'd like a nudge. Be sure to include your progress so I can know better how to assist.

Ashore! I wasn't able to get to the puzzle until this afternoon while traveling to visit our daughter, SIL and granddaughter. Agree with others that the grid was harder than the meta. Now I can spend the entire weekend playing with granddaughter Elise and her American Girl dolls. She received so many new outfits for her dolls as Christmas presents that I am betting we spend most of the day tomorrow trying on each and every one!

I'm up to 8 solves in a row after what seemed like a very difficult fall puzzle schedule.

Here's to us all for the upcoming year - happy solving and keep your pencil sharp! :)

Ashore after trying to make this one more difficult than it needed to be. I suppose a Pinot is in order. Happy New Year to all!

Ashore. Stumped for the longest time, but finally saw it! There is no ambiguity at all. A cognac is calling my name.
