Ashore. Initially did not see it, then came here to see it was already Page 5 and soon figured it out.

Just solved the grid and instantly saw the mechanism!!! That never, ever happens to me! I'll celebrate with Irish Coffee! It's chilly on the beach.

On shore. I’m afraid winning the mug this week will be as hard as it is to win a World Series

For the first time in a long time I couldn't get to the puzzle until after work. Dug the baseball theme! Now I can go watch Thursday Night Football with my parents who just flew in from New Orleans. Who Dat!

Ashore! Very satisfying when the first thought is the one that works.

Woosh. Forgot it was thursday.

But that was easy. Especially after... well I can't say but.....

Okay, something with anise and ice cold and keep that pumpkin spice miles away from my nostrils.

Wow! Late start, quick solve, and already page 7!
Won’t complain. Good to be ashore.

Solved…. Glad to be on the crowded shore!
If I don't win a mug, I can always make one... ;) but it won't have the same cachet.

Sports? Oh, joy:/ Now what game has a World Series? Won't matter since I won't know the teams without googling anyway.

Made it to shore, but not before spending some time in a nice deep rabbit hole that seemed so perfect and had only one flaw - it did not lead to anything resembling any possible name of any sports team. Hope I remember to tell you all about it on Monday. It seems like such an obvious approach though that I doubt I'll be the only one to dig around in it.
If you want help with a meta, feel free to PM me. The more specific you are about what you have and what you want, the more likely I can help without spoiling.

(And if I help you win a mug, I’ll be especially delighted.)

Ashore! After the last two weeks I was afraid I had lost my metamojo. Thankfully, they throw us a bone every now and then. A Manhattan, please.
