NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges IF ASKED; metas should be about fun, not frustration. PM me what you have done so far, because often you are closer than you think, and I will try to help you move along.

Now that we're on page 2, I'm helping Isaac behind the bar as the orders are coming in fast and furious.

What do you think he's looking for? Horseshoe crabs? Hors d'oeuvres? Horned Frogs?

I forgot it was puzzle day yesterday until fairly late. Went to see how many pages we had here (even before going to the puzzle). There were only 4 or 5 responses to the original post. What? I have a shot here? Finished the grid in under 15 minutes and came back here. No new posts. I may make front page for the first time!

Then I started working on the meta. Nothing. Thought of what I thought the answer could be, but couldn't back-solve my way into it. I mean, nothing even close. I found an unholy number of holes; an unwarranted number of warrens. Even those were too shallow to pursue for long. Hours of a tantalizingly few posts here just teasing me with first page fame and I couldn't come up with anything.

I'm glad we're finally on page two. I have a lot to do today.

Good Friday morning

At the risk of incurring a POE chiding, I am posting this status especially since there has not been anyone getting to shore in the last four hours.

The ship tender drivers are giving private trips to shore as we only have 19 basking in the glory

And we had a great muggle meet up at Vee Vee's restaurant last night. It was great solving the grid but the muggle braintrust was not able to advance to the meta. See the pictures and postings under the Acapulco lounge. Thanks to Danny Vee and Cap't Rick for setting this up. We plan on doing a repeat get together when it is a bit cooler

And the last thing for the 4:30 zoom call, my Zoom account can only accommodate 100 users at one time. LOL

This meta is making me think of a few colorful four letter words from my Navy days. At the bar.

Thanks for the nudges when needed! Muggle friends are the best. Happy to give a nudge when I've solved.

Missed last week's puzzle, so was eager to dive back in this week. Alas, between the heat and the lack of a brain, I fear a long slog ahead. Pulling up a stool in the dark, cool interior of Isaac's bar...

My location--on the ship. Eyeing the grid cluelessly is becoming a habit, unfortunately. Rabbit holes galore have been explored. Looks like a long weekend at the ship's bar (at least it is cool there like hunkra just said). I was trying to decide what evening to go to dinner with friends--my (pessimistic) husband said we should go saturday night since there might be a need for a muggle zoom call on sunday. Not a bad call on his part!

So very few muggles ashore...
That's good news for me when I start looking for the very first "Rabbit Hole" trophy nominees next week.

I'm so lost at sea that I may need both Zoom meetings to arrive ashore.

Phew, finally Ashore4us. We inhaled a lot of water on our swim and thought we wouldn't make it!

I know lots of four-letter words but not any that I can send to the WSJ this week.
I don't have anything clever to say, but if I did, it would go here.

REMINDER: Our Friday 4:30 Eastern Time ZOOM-ARAMA will be as scheduled today. All are welcome! As this is only page 2, we may get to meet a lot of our fellow muggles today. Our ZOOM meeting always begins with people discussing the rabbit holes they discovered. That should be really fun this week. I'm looking forward to it!
