Mrs. C=64 was in the mood for Hawaiian shave ice, and this conversation led me to get the pineapple & strawberry. Stock photo but mine was just as pretty. Wailua Shave Ice, PDX

That's precisely why I dislike it so much!
I still don't get it even after hearing the explanation.
Crossword fiend has a nice explanation:

https://crosswordfiend.com/2020/07/10/s ... y-11-2020/
How does one think that it is possible to spell five common English words of 6-8 letters backwards and have common English words. And then to incorporate them into a crossword puzzle like that.

Amazing

stressed/desserts is pretty common, but the rest ... blow my mind that it's all fitted together that neatly.

pupils/slipup and diaper/repaid are just ... wowsers.

On shore. All this time I was staying on the LAS cruise due to heavy fog. But the fog lifted just long enough for me to see shore and I quickly got a tender to take me to the tiki bar.

C=64 was the first one on the shore and I jumped over him on my list to Commodore

It must have been the computer connection.
Missed me too, which I only mention cuz it was my first time on the first page! :-D

I have just--finally!--finished the dang grid. Another cuppa, please, Isaac.
For nudges, feel free to PM me. I won't have a clue how to help you, but you might shove me ashore.

I'd like a nudge if anyone's willing to offer.

This has been a very frustrating week for me. I can't get step 2 of MMMM and I can't get anywhere on this puzzle which is supposedly easy.

Edit: I got 2 nudges. Thanks. I really should have explored more something I'd seen earlier.

First an apology for all the errors in Saturdays report

I skipped over C=64 in my list as he was the first one on the shore
I was so busy thinking about Wendy at the tiki bar in Chesapeake City that I forgot to enter that she was on the shore
And I just jumped over Sal for no good reason

However we have had a continuous group making their way to the ship's bar and the shore. we have 16 on the ship and 117 on the shore.

New to the ship's bar for now are
RichA2
Bird Lives
and femullen

And making their way to the shore are
the aforementioned Wendy - however we did save her normal spot on the shore
LittleGood
dudeski
Geoduck
Ann
Amy
Burak
Nlbil
Notbitter
Susan H
the aforementioned YourPalSal
FrankH
Katherine
Cynthia J
Peter L
and Jeanrosz

And for CopperRiver and any other muggles who post on the Welcome Aboard - indicate your presence on the ship or shore here as very often I don't check the Welcome Aboard site.

Good luck to all winning the mug and stay safe

I've now washed up on shore and I'm feeling really dumb. I was looking in the right general direction the whole time, but I was massively overcomplicating it.

Eric, I'm glad you got the meta! Yes, it was easy to overcomplicate this one.
Good luck, fellow Muggles!

Dom and I have solved, but it took some affirmation in a private message exchange with FrankieHeck to keep me on the right track, so we are forgoing the mug chase. I hope Frankie gets a mug!
