Enjoyed this one! Seemed more straightforward than last month’s. I had most of the grid, 3/4 of the attic, and the 20-A reveal by around dinner time yesterday. Finished off the handful of clues that I was struggling with (NW corner was the last to go), as well as the attic this morning! Cute!

Always look forward to the HEX cryptic from WSJ.
Always a nice spin on the variety cryptic - this one included.
Any resistance (namely how to enter the verticals) crumbled once I fully got the attic entries from the available letters.

This was fun, all the elements fell into place nicely when enough of the grid was filled. And the final answer was a treat. Lots of play value for the money (or should I say time) spent!
