Nothing clicking here at the bar... I'm hoping for the "aha" moment.

I saw one rabbit hole as soon as I finished the puzzle that I don't think leads anywhere. Still just staring and trying to find a clue.

Finished the (impressive) grid last night and nothing jumped out, and now I'm staring at the sea ahead of me with fresh eyes hoping I see something.

On shore safely. Got second shot. Now for MGWCC to make it a triple play (in time for a Red Sox win in cold weather)

Great - we are thrilled to have more muggles.mkmf wrote: ↑Thu Apr 01, 2021 7:55 pm We've been on the forum from the beginning - reading, laughing (a lot), solving/submitting/never-winning, and occasionally posting. But we never reported in to become "official" muggles.
So here we go: mkmf is ashore. We're happy to have donated, and happy to publicly thank BrianMac and Bob Cruise Director for making this such a happy place.

We're also hoping that in this week's drawing, we'll experience unlurk-luckiness, a cousin of post-enlightenment.

Ashore, I think. I found this meta harder than last week's, TBH.

On shore. Inspired to sit on the beach and paint my toenails.
Love this painter and this meta, Mike.

Yes, "Tormented Artists" by Matt Gaffney on 7/31. You are making me feel as though I actually know something about art, though. I remember showing off to my 20-something kids by knowing all their first names. (They weren't that impressed.) Must just be because from my 29th floor condo I can look out and see the majestic Greek Temple that is the vernable Philadelphia Museum of Art less than a mile away. The Barnes is even closer, but mostly hidden from my view. But I've visited both many time.AnswerPfinder wrote: ↑Fri Apr 02, 2021 8:59 amUsually yes, but wasn't there a painter-themed one from last July that required you to know the full name of a whole bunch of different painters? I remember Googling quite a bit on that one.
I won't be starting this week's puzzle until tonight. So I don't know if I'll have too much art knowledge or not enough. (Or even whether it really matters.)

THANK YOU!
Wow, you guys are really amazing! I can't believe in less than 24 hours, we already have $1200. THANK YOU!! That's enough for the migration to a better hosting service and first few years of hosting fees, so already we are in great shape for the future!
Thanks also to everyone who was so supportive during the recent "55 Hours of Darkness," and to those who encouraged me to set this up. Joe Ross and Peter Abide were amazing with advice and reviewing and testing the donation functionality.
On the puzzle, I am with Isaac who is getting tired of making me fresh pots of coffee. Hoping not to miss two weeks in a row!

Still on the boat. I see something, but am afraid it's a mirage - or is it?
Thanks Brian for all you do!
