Probably a bit harder than previous cryptics, but I honestly can never tell.

As always you can submit your completed grid to jdrubin@middlebury.edu

Good luck!

Definitely was harder for me, but I'm in a post-COVID-jab bleary state this morning. A few answers I have iffy confidence in. We'll see.

Edit: we saw, and luckily I got them right, though I definitely did not grok all the tricks. Thanks for a fun workout, Josh!

Raced through the left half of the grid pretty quickly, then stalled out facing the right. Most of my uncertainty is in the lower right (21D, 24A, 16A). Had another hiccough in the upper right, but finally getting 7D let me quickly to the finish via 10A, 12A, 15A, 13D.

Like Hector, shall see if I have gone adrift or not.
(postscript - I had not. Just wasn't as confident on the three, but had in fact parsed them correctly.)

I didn’t get ALL the wordplay, but I got most! I get a kick out of solving these not necessarily traditional puzzles. More brain expansion. Thanks Joshua.

I think I got it all but the wordplay for 16a and 24a eludes me (if I even got these right). PM me with your thoughts on these.
Edit: heard back from Josh. Got 16a and 24a correctly. Josh explained his wordplay.
