"Get It Together!"

Good morning Muggles, and a happy Muggle Meta Monday to all! Thanks to Bird Lives for his excellent meta last week; so much crammed into such a small working space. Very nice job…

This week’s puzzle is called “Get it Together,” probably around a MGWCC Week 3 (although I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see some early solvers). Please PM me your solution by 4 PM on Sunday, and as has become our custom, I’ll post a couple snapshots of a leaderboard during the week. Feel free to PM me for nudges, but try to stick with it for a couple days first. If nothing else, Nudge Wednesday occurs on… uh, Wednesday this week.

The answer to this meta is an 8-letter word. Good luck!

Oh, Lord. I see numbers.

Puz file isn't working for me. Could just be me, though...

FrankieHeck, same issue here, but opening the puz link in a new tab did the trick for me.

Yeah, it happened to me too. I think it did the same thing in my last meta, and someone recommended opening it in a new tab. I don't know why that's happening. Maybe Brian has some ideas...

Clever and fun, both grid and meta.

Tough-ish grid (but done). My favorite is 67A. Now on to the meta.

I don't know what the story is. Works for me in Safari and Firefox. Hector thinks it may be a Chrome issue. So try another browser or open in a new tab as Hector suggests.

So far, I have not been able to get it together on the meta.

As usual, tremendous cluing. I had several belly laughs as I went through them (as well as a few "Darn you Sisti" moments). Now I am sitting back struggling with the solve. I have had two ideas so far as how to approach, neither bore fruit or perhaps I just didn't know how to pick it. So, on the couch contemplating my next move (probably to the drinks cabinet!)

Excellent! Unfortunately, there is no mug to award but I do have one of those original sandwiches from 1959 that I can send to you.
