It's typical beautiful work by Mike. These kinds of puzzles can often tie me up for a couple of hours or more. Often it's because I guess wrong at an entry or two, and it messes everything up. Lots of erasing. But with this one, after a bit of a slow start, it started to roll. I didn't time it, but it seems like I was done in just over a half hour, maybe 40 minutes. Enjoy!

Very enjoyable puzzle! My first answer was the first part of 2 across, which helped me get the last Winding answer. Pretty straightforward from there.

I have pencils and an eraser just for variety puzzles so I echo Chris’ comment. The WSJ varieties are a very nice way to start a weekend. This one was no exception.

Wonderful puzzle! I flew through the top part but got hung up on the bottom few rows. Got a chuckle out of the "Compact cars" clue!
