Argh! I’m working backward, but I still can’t identify the last morsel.
I suspect that a common impediment to finding the solution to a meta is placing an incorrect entry into the grid. I knew the answer to the meta, and I knew exactly what I was missing to get to that answer. Found my error and quickly discovered the beach!

It's 6:30am here and I'm ashore having a Guiness at the tiki bar. Grid and meta both seemed fairly easy this week.

Had the route for a while, but couldn't find the last piece until just now.

Count me in the DUH! vs. AHA group.

Happy Mother's Day to all.

On shore as well and agree that the grid was harder than the meta. I did start going down a rabbit hole with something much more difficult than the actual solve. Glad a backed up.
Don’t bother me until I’ve had my coffee and done the crossword.

On shore - whew! I was beginning to think my meta mojo was gone for good. Another lovely puzzle.

At first I thought this was deja vu all over again - but I think this week will be less controversial than the singular Creature Feature from last summer.

Count me ashore!
More importantly, count me registered on the site to enable me to enjoy the witty repartee I've missed the last couple of weeks!

Are you doing the easier or harder version?
Barbara - thank you for pointing this out. I solved MMMM earlier this week but hadn't even noticed there were two versions. So much for my attention to details! I happened to click on the easier version. Looking at it now, I'm not confident I would have gotten the harder. Which version did you do?

Me too
I wonder if we all worked backward on the same bit. I thought one of the pieces didn't quite fit with the others. I ended up backsolving it after the meta answer was already clear. But I still thought it was a fun classic puzzle!

Currently with Isaac. I'm pretty sure I'm in the right rabbit hole but not seeing the bunny just yet...

On shore, and joined by my son Domenic shortly after texting him that I had my toes in the sand. Add two to the tally of beach dwellers.
