New meta puzzle! Answers due Friday at noon EST.
I tried to provide more hints along the way for this one in hopes of a smoother solving experience.

Note: There may be an error in the entry at 48D. Unless I'm missing something. Doesn't seem to affect the meta.

I'm 95% sure I have the first step, but I'm not getting anywhere from there. (Which probably means that I'm wrong about the first step...)
Edit: Post-enlightenment! I was, in fact, wrong about the first step, and was way overcomplicating it.
