The answer to the meta puzzle is a writer best known for children's books.
Very nice construction! I’ve asked for confirmation.

Liked this one a lot. I'd be shocked if my answer is wrong. Well, semi-shocked.

I’ve also asked for confirmation. I guess we are all on (or off) the same couch/ship/beach.

Enjoyed it and I agree that it's a 100%er. Very well put together, and I liked that there were multiple AHAs.

I know what you are talking about,Tom. There was one a while back, perhaps a WSJ, that featured authors that was somewhat similar. I liked this one better though.

Solved and submitted. Felt this one was a certainty, so will be curious to hear why others felt a bit uncertain with their submissions.
Grid did take longer than the meta for me this week.

I also didn’t see the last step until after I surmised the answer, but it’s all there, and nicely tied up.

Very much liked!
Solving this one was quite a process for me. We’re on the road, helping the kids move. They don’t have a printer hooked up right now, while packing and stowing, so I had to recreate the grid using a sheet of grid paper I printed before leaving home. (Always carry with you while traveling!) Then there was the usual challenge of the PGWCC grid; only two googles — not bad for me. And finally studying the puzzle and pondering it, while intermittently distracted by moving tasks. This surprisingly made for a very satisfying solve.
Nicely done, Peter!

Very good one! I too figured out what I thought was the answer, then got the final 100% confirmation before submitting. This calls for the good bourbon tonight!

I thought of two other possible answers before I saw the confirming mechanism. Thumbs up!

Wow, this one got buried under a bunch of other puzzles on our counter this week, and I just found it again while cleaning up. So glad I found it, really satisfying solve

I saw the mechanism, I found most -not giving exact number for obvious reasons- of the first two step answers and don't know what to do with those. I went through every single author on this list to find some overlap to no avail. Maybe it'll hit me tomorrow.
Edit: Realized I made a super silly mistake, it's all clear now. Posting here always helps
