I just love the month of March and all of its associations with my favorite color - GREEN! In addition to St. Patrick's Day, we also have the beginning of spring, the aquamarine birthstone, and the money we'll hopefully get back from the IRS this year! There's so much green going on this month that I just had to construct this puzzle. I'd like to thank @boharr, @whimsy, @Wendy Walker, @MarkWoychick, @DrTom, @DavyGravy, and @Joe Ross for testing and technical help.
This month marks the 1-year anniversary of "Smooth Sailing Sundays"! I'd like to thank all of the constructors below who generously contributed puzzles and helped keep the SSShip afloat during her maiden voyage. Hopefully we'll be able to keep her sailing smoothly for another year!

Guinness is brown. How do you make it green????
My wife is requesting piña coladas, as it is warm and this is Smooth Sailing Sunday.
THOSE I can make green!
Happy St. Paddy's to all.

OTC with a bit of a nudge to get me to the answer I was pretty sure of
And special credit for the clues to 18A, 38A and 1D - normal Rick cleverness

Very nice. Although I missed half of it this time around, even though I test solved (in my defense it was like 2 months ago )

Sunday Nudges
Sorry, I almost forgot to post these! You probably won't need them all, but I couldn't stop typing. I'll be traveling this week, so this is kinda like a combination Nudges/Reveal.
► Show Spoiler
So, the Cap'n said there's a lot of "green" stuff this month. I wonder if there are any "green" entries in this grid?
► Show Spoiler
Holy cow! I found 6 "green" entries, and their first letters spell something recognizable!
► Show Spoiler
The clue for 58A says it contains a "hint to solving the meta," so maybe I should try looking UNDER what I have so far.
► Show Spoiler
Hmm, as @KayW would say, the entries UNDER the "green" entries all seem to be "sportsing" terms.
► Show Spoiler
Holy cow! The first letters of the 6 "sportsing" entries also spell something recognizable!
► Show Spoiler
Oh, now I get it! The "sportsing" entries are "wearing" or "have on" the "green" entries - kinda like a "uniform" per 27A.
► Show Spoiler
Remember, the prompt says the answer is "someone" (i.e. an individual) - not the entire team! And there are 12 letters total.

including grid design. Thanks, Capn! :D

Got it without the nudges. But my thought process was nearly entirely different.
► Show Spoiler
Notice the hint first. Saw a few greens (turtle first, then beret) and a focused search found all six. Applied hint but didn't expect it to be so immediate. Valid word so entered it and *rejected*??? huh. Geez. Please don't tell me that's an elaborate easter egg and the mechanism is entirely different. Tried applying the hint in other way with no luck. And *then* at the very last noticed the green things themselves spelled something as well.
