5A - do they celebrate that in high schools any more and does anyone under 50 know where that comes from
26A - my brother and I had fights with these - in the house when our mother was not home and amazingly no one got an eye out

Fun fact -- in 1970-something when I was a freshman in high school, my mom found a senior who could drive me the 13+ miles to school (small private school, no bus service). He drove a 1960 Chrysler New Yorker with fins and a push-button transmission and man, was he proud of it! It looked something like this:
