Still in the bar with Isaac. Some folks have seen too many clues? I've seen none at all. Will keep looking though!

I saw something which could have been the red herring others referred to, but I followed it and it turned out to be a rabbit's pink nose. I'm on its trail!

Caught the rabbit, and now I'm on shore. Think I'll order an appetizer!

Good Friday morning muggles

There is a lot of scrambling around the ship. We have 9 on the ship and 22 on the shore so far.

Now back to swimming laps

Make that 10 on the ship. I'm still stumped.

Well, this is a revolting development. I’m sitting here all at 6s and 7s, just crying in my beer with Isaac. A beautiful upcoming weekend now all shot to !^%?*#$. Count me #11 Bob. (Phil Simms too)

Count me at Isaac's bar - grid came together nicely, but will have to wait to part any water.

Bar-bound as well. Anyone know if Moses is nearby? Will buy him his next round if he is...

Solved. Not my favorite method. But still amazing construction.

Usually, if I don't get to Step One in the first few minutes, the next three days of staring at the grid and clues don't get me any farther. This may be one of those. If it's any consolation to my shipmates, over at MGWCC Matt says:

"Today's isn't a Week 5 -- more like a 2.5. Last week's turned out
to be a Week 5 by accident and we've got some new people, so
I decided to take it a little easier on folks this week.
If you'd like a tougher challenge, try my meta at the Wall Street Journal today."

BTW, one of those "new people" Matt gives a shout to is me. Could be a big mistake for my satisfaction/frustration ratio.

On the ship. See waters everywhere, not a sight of land.

Yikes. The dreaded numbers in parens. They can mean absolutely anything and everything. I'll be at the bar with Isaac, seeing if he calls the asterisk symbol (*) a star.

No joy yet, but the MGWCC Week 5 was a piece of cake. So I'll have plenty of time to obsess over this one.

On the beach! 🏖 🍷 (since last night, didn’t have a chance to check in here til now)

AND, I experienced a new type of AHA!!! Hope it’s not too corny. Home alone for a couple of hours, I was working away on the puzzle, trying all kinds of things and flailing around. My husband gets back home, gives me a kiss, and at that moment, a BLINDING flash of light lights up the path to the shore!!! It was like a fairy tale! A magical meta kiss.

Something else to add to my meta solving bag of tricks? 😀

Looks like Matt dropped his Week 5 here instead of on his site.

Isaac, it's been a while....Blanton's on the rocks, please - its going to be a long weekend.
