Yes, very much my experience! That grid was...exasperating.

On shore! Feels good after a long long time with Isaac. Along with Momo and Copper River, I too am looking forward to understanding the title

On shore! But wondering if I should submit for the mug when I had to use Mr G so much for the grid. Coffee is good.

Count me ashore. Neat one! Good to be back on dry land. Gimme a cafe latte!

Pretty straightforward after two weeks of rough sailing and no land in sight!

Good Sunday morning muggles
@Ben B asked about submitting after you have used Google. How you solve and whether you submit is a personal decision. Remember that we are doing this for our own enjoyment and to meet others who have the same passion. And also the most we can get is a mug. My personal feeling is that if I can't get an answer, I will use Google as much as necessary. There is no way that I will ever know things like four letter rivers of Europe or actors/actresses/authors that I have no clue of. And if that gets me to the meta, I will submit. If I have to raise the white flag to get a nudge of any significance, I won't submit. But again, this is a personal decision.
Second thing. There will not be a final status tonight as we are heading for northern Vermont to see the eclipse and hoping that what was a sunny prediction two days ago and has slowly turned into partly cloudy allows us to see it. The status will probably not be posted until Tuesday.
At present we have 2 on the ship with Isaac preparing to watch a dynamite NCAA Women's Championship tonight and 219 on the shore enjoying the warmth.
New to the shore since yesterday are
Tom S

haydendog

Good luck to all with both seeing the eclipse and winning the mug and if your teams are left in the NCAA pool.

Add me to the crowd on shore...challenging grid fill...but enjoyed the metanism.

Ashore! This one jumped out at me while Kasia was at the gym. I was excited to share the answer.

Very late start and a frustrating grid, but then an unusually quick swim to shore. Happy to be here after being lost at sea for several weeks! G&T please!

On shore for the third time in my life. Thank you for the easy Meta for once. I often can't get them. Darn can't have a beer or whiskey from my awesome collecton. I have to get ready for a surgery in a few days.

Belatedly on shore with everyone else after watching the Brewers lose in Milwaukee last night, and seeing what God's Team (the Iowa women) will do against South Carolina. Not looking good now, but there's more than a quarter to go.
