Joe wrote: Fri Mar 29, 2024 2:22 pm Woww. On shore. With help. There's something I don't love. But an incredible feat of construction!
Hmm... With the caveat that *all* constructions are amazing and that all constructions are hard and that I can barely construct my way out of a paper bag. This construction is very different and unique, but what it takes to plan and initiate, if you think about it,.... isn't actually any harder than any other meta construction. In fact it's a wee tad easier than most.

However from the solvers point of view... it's amazing looking.

(Nobody here has probably heard Penn Jillette's monologue about balancing a ping-pong ball on his nose. It's from *wayyyyyyy* back in his "Asparagus Valley Cultural Society days. .... What ever happened to Weir Christenson anyway?)
I guess I should change my signature, and start promoting this meta: Hungry Little Creature. I was going to sent it to people for testing but I dropped the ball on it.

Very clever construction from Mr. Shenk

Ooooon the ship. My sister laurab and I have a rule: if we don’t have it by Saturday, reread the clues. If we don’t have it by Sunday, try math. So I read the title on this one and braced for a weekend of Easter bunny holes.

I’m still not sure how we were SUPPOSED to solve this, but the zoom crew brought me ashore. Thank you Don & Wendy et al!

I would've been hopelessly adrift with half of a mechanism all weekend without the lovely Zoom crew - thanks for the nudge(s), folks!

Thanks to the Zoom, I'm laying out the beach towel, and placing an order for a bucket of cervezas. After that puzzle, I'll need them all!
If you see me on the beach, feel free to pm for a nudge. After all the help I’ve got, I am happy to send it forward when I can!

Ashore. Can't imagine how they come up with these things, much less figure out how to execute them.

Ashore after a zoom nudge. Again, I faulted by initially looking for a solution that was too complicated.

Ah, yes. The highlight of my week, the Friday Zoom! Great to see everyone! Happy Easter friends!
Don & Cynthia

We are always happy to get to know other muggles and help in any way! PM's are always welcome. The next best thing to winning a mug is helping a fellow muggle win a mug!

On the ship. Isaac has just GREeted me with today's specialty cocktail and ushered me to my regular seAT. There was a lot of BLUE in last week's puzzle--and even more in my mood this weekend! A little voice keeps saying "look HEre--this is such a plausible metanism". That voice is wRONg!
