Did anyone know about this book? Saw it on Amazon.
I wish I had time to check it out...I have less time for puzzles lately. It turns out infants are very demanding and toddlers are little dictators. I was not warned 😂

On the beach!
Just got to the puzzle.
Starting to miss the Thursday 4 pm routine and hope to resume if only I can convince clients that their priorities need to be reset. 😝

I am on the beach!
For some reason the "aha" moment was especially thrilling this week.
I think a celebratory mojito is in order.

Solved and ashore! This was very clever. When I saw it I felt like Gronk in that USAA commercial where the woman asks him about his serve: “OOOOHHHHH!”

Happy weekend to all.

On the beach! After struggling to the shore the last couple of weeks, I've managed to tie my longest WSJ solving streak at 11 weeks. Now, hoping to start a new streak with MGWCC in a few hours.

Ashore. Excellent, Grandmaster @MattGaffney!

Two of the best, two weeks in a row. We're witnessing some top shelf creativity, muggles.

Ashore. Went down a couple of rabbit holes that seemed promising at first, but no dice. Got the lightest of nudges from a kindly muggle, and after pondering it a while, finally saw it. Really is a triumph of construction, as others have said. I'll have a G&T, please.

I ordered my copy. Perhaps we can put our friend @femullen on the NY Times Best Seller List!

And, send him on a book signing tour! ;)
Don & Cynthia

We are always happy to get to know other muggles and help in any way! PM's are always welcome. The next best thing to winning a mug is helping a fellow muggle win a mug!

Holy ####! That is a clever construction....... Give me.... something I forget what I like.

(I don't get why I didn't get it sooner. .... Oh, actually I do.... Hmm... use a ********** not a ********)
I guess I should change my signature, and start promoting this meta: Hungry Little Creature. I was going to sent it to people for testing but I dropped the ball on it.

Good Saturday morning muggles from a cold wet rainy day in southern New England and a cold snowy day in northern NE. @MaineMarge will be getting over a foot of snow today so appreciate the beautiful garden pictures she sends out.

The word that has been the most used for this meta is "amazing" and as @Joe Ross said this week and last week's construction are two of the most amazing that we have seen in the almost 9 years of WSJ metas.

And the massive crowds on the Friday zoom calls are a tribute to the constructors as well as @ship4u and @Wendy Walker for their time, patience and enthusiasm for helping out struggling muggles

So far we have 7 on the ship and 125 on the shore.

On the ship with Isaac enjoying the NCAA basketball games (unless you are a Kentucky, Auburn fan - so far no major upsets for the women - yet) are

Mike H
Katiedid
Homer
LittleGood
streroto
altosax
Kas

And on the shore are

Solved, with a sigh. Impressed by the construction, it as we all are. Still struggling with today’s Ezersky NYT puzzle…

Well then, finally able to join the beach party. I had tried so many things with no joy, then this AM I saw somehting that I said, "Odd, hmm, odd again, hmm - wait a minute that cannot be random!" - and it wasn't. I assume I arrived at the right shore but if I did not I am happy enough with my answer that I'll give myself a win.
NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges where needed; metas should be about fun, not frustration. Send me what you have done so far because often you are closer than you think!
