Welcome to...

benchen71's Metas on a Tuesday (MOAT)

Can you storm the castle by getting across the MOAT? I've had this one sitting in my "possible metas" notebook for a while now. Today, I just felt like I needed to create a meta and this one was the next on the list. It's definitely a "week 3", but I've tried to make the cluing fun and the meta should also be fun once you get going. The answer to the meta is a 7-letter word.

The easiest way to submit is on Crosshare (and you get instant feedback and unlimited attempts!) But you can also PM me with your submission. Either way, I'll compile a list of those who successfully solve the meta.

That's Messed Up! - Crosshare
That's Messed Up! - PUZ
That's Messed Up! - PDF
That's Messed Up! - spreadsheet

Nudges are here.
The solution is here.

I crossed the moat with a cartful of leeks and a rather large turnip. Nice one, Ben!

Meg, those veggie cartloads of yours always remind me of this guy. :D

:crossed_swords: :rabbit: :european_castle: De-MOATed and demoted. Very nice one, Ben! I had some faulty submissions because (I discovered after the fact) I submitted at least one of my entries for your meta on the MMM puzzle. Now... THAT'S MESSED UP!

Finally got this one, but still stuck on the MMM… funny how you see some and just not others…
Will sit atop a castle turret and ponder.

On the victor’s side of the moat, not one bit messed up in the process. Thanks for the fun!

Successful storming of the castle --

(Sorry, had to use a hedgehog as a stand-in for 46A)

Took me a while to notice what I needed to notice.
Thanks, Ben!
