"More Than Words" by Wendy Walker

Hello, friends!
Thrilled to be contributing to the new SSS.
My first idea for this puzzle was to use income-tax words as themers; alas, that IRS-related avenue, though timely, became simply too depressing to pursue. To my delight, a less-leaden theme emerged from my musings, and this puzzle quickly took shape. I hope you enjoy it!
Thank you to my test-solvers Alan Kennan and SSS editor Cap'n Rick for their excellent suggestions and the invaluable Joe Ross for formatting.
Nudges later today.

Sssolved. That was fun. Some may see the meta as SAD, but goes quick once you see it.

Thanks Wendy!

SSSolved. Much fun. I especially liked the reference to the place where I met the woman I eventually married.

SSSolved!

I’m continually amazed at how creatively our relative newcomers to puzzle-making are delighting us with such clever metas.

Nice job, Wendy! I greatly enjoyed this SSS!

Where? (You can tell the entry number if you don’t want to give away the answer.)

Is there anything worse than starting a meta after the nudges have been posted, not seeing anything in the first three minutes and looking at those nudges sitting there and thinking "wellllll...."

Okay, I guess there's a lot of things worse.

EDIT: One thing worse is reading to first three nudges and not really needing them but realizing there was somthing niggling in your brain early and wondering why the heck when you get something niggling in your brain the why the FOOF don't you pursue it????? and thinking can I claim I never used the nudges and realizing well, it did direct me to the niggling.

Good puzzle! Sure wish I hadn't looked at the nudges but it was a fun and delightful puzzle.

Excellent guess. The thing is, it's not the sort of place that either of us would be likely to go. Or had ever gone. We were both there under special circumstances -- different but related circumstances.
