MEOW #171 - March Air

#1

Post by Bird Lives »

The winds of March are blowing a fairly uncomplicated meta your way. It's ertainly not the cat’s meow. Or the bee’s knees for that matter.

Thanks to @DrTom for editorial help and to linksman @Joe Ross for doing his thing.

The answer is a well-known American.

The cat doesn't want to admit it, but he learned something in the bag.

Ah, yes, the air in March.

But I'm in like a lion. (Or maybe better put, out.)
Thanks for a breezy and fun one, Jay!

“Hey, where’s my cat?” cried the bag.

Me too. Learned some things, I mean.

Thanks, Jay!

Oh March comes in like a lion
and March goes out like a lamb
But what's that I smell a' fryin'
Why it's a friendly little piece of ham

This was fun and ... er, breezy.
Funny story. I was all set to enter Par for the course for the CrossHare midi contest for April but I mistakenly thought midi meant 7x 7 and not 11 x 11. Oops. Well.... Here's a complex but **small** meta on the subject of golf.

The cat is on the loose. Now back to complete the grid and look for more Easter eggs.

Easy breezy puzzle Jay - and I learned some things, too. Thanks!
