Early work meeting ended just as the puzzle was released, so I'm on the board at an uncharacteristcally low (for me) (for a week 1) (but really also the other weeks) #61, yay!

Don't know why I bother with downs only. Still it was fun to see the issue with no way to solve. And a peek at one particular across put it all together all at once. (But no... can't claim any success with the down onlys)
Funny story. I was all set to enter Par for the course for the CrossHare midi contest for April but I mistakenly thought midi meant 7x 7 and not 11 x 11. Oops. Well.... Here's a complex but **small** meta on the subject of golf.

Downs-only, no instructions looks like an interesting challenge this time. (I'm too impatient to ever try that, but I like to think about it in retrospect.) Anyone try that?

In unrelated news, I'm hungry. Unrelated because I'm always hungry.

Beamed at #105. I would have been on the board sooner but I was looking for something in the puzzle that apparently was not there. Unless I missed it.

One of those times that my insistence on finishing the puzzle cost me some spots on the leaderboard. But still came in 8th, so c'est la vie! Matt definitely nailed the Week 1, let's see how the rest of the month goes!

Beamed. Enjoyed this week 1. Submitted my answer before even finishing the grid --- that never happens!

Awaiting the beam... [Submitted before finishing the grid. Hope I didn't jump the gun!]

... and I'm beamed at #254. That was quite a long wait!

Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta!

I was able to fill the entire grid correctly with downs only, but I did have to google a few things to do it. I had a relatively high degree of confidence in my answer without the instructions, but I did peek at them before I submitted just to make sure.
