The best part of waking up...is going back to bed! (Sorry, Folgers.)

Hello hello! Happy 2024!
Now awaits my toughest time of the year: the holidays are over, and baseball doesn't start until March, so what better way to spend your time than curl up with a cat and some crosswords? Ideally, I'll use this time to make some metas too, so we're introducing the:
I just like making graphics, haha. Basically, it's a puzzle each Saturday until springtime comes! I'll try to make the typical levels in play, but we'll see what happens. You know the resolution, though: at least one Level 1 or Level 2 meta a month!
Also, it's time to put #76 and #77 to bed, so I'll post their solutions in the appropriate thread. Onward!

The answer to the meta is how you might describe a Level 1 puzzle.
Deadline is Saturday, January 13 at 1 pm ET.
Good luck, and may all your solves be beautiful!

Fun! Enjoyed the clues and meta as always. And relieved to see I can still solve SOME level one metas

Fun puzzle with the punny clues I expect. Thanks Mikey!

PS: If you want help with a meta, PM what you have so I can help without spoiling too much. I've received lots of help in the beginning and I love to pay it forward!

Solved! Good one!!
Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta!

So fun! And different! Thanks for the challenge. Felt more like a level three, until it didn’t. ( :

Okay, this one broke my perfect record for the year... both in getting the meta and the grid.
Fun puzzle.
Fun puzzle.
I guess I should change my signature, and start promoting this meta: Hungry Little Creature. I was going to sent it to people for testing but I dropped the ball on it.

Another great "groaner" by Mikey G, and I think I solved my first Muggles Meta EVER! (Yay me!)
So I went to the Crosshare website and submitted my meta-answer, and if I win something, I'll be sure to put it in my trophy case alongside my other awards such as "Most Gracious Loser" and "Best of the Worst" plaques!
