This was a time I definitely wish I had solved via hard copy, rather than online. It really could have sped things up!

Whenever you hear a bell, a bunny gets its ears.

Merry & bright to all!

Fun one! Happy Holidays to all - so grateful for all of the positivity this forum provides! (Also, am strangely mystified by the NYT Super Mega, if anyone has any hints, let me know).

Can anyone access that puzzle or is it only for subscribers?

I wanted to share a picture of my Bird of the Week (see post #74). The petrel often runs along the water before taking flight. It gets its name from St. Peter, who famously walked on water. This is one of my favorites of pictures that I took in Antarctica (although this picture was taken in the Beagle Channel on our return to port after crossing the Drake Passage).

And...Merry Christmas! May your celebrations be joyful and your travels safe.

The NYT Games app doesn't include access to the super mega.

I don’t know for sure; we subscribe to the print version and that’s what I am working on.

As I hustled to get a more "holiday worthy" meta ready at the last minute (and it will be for the 27th so I hope it works) I stopped and asked myself, "why are you willing to spend your entire day, particularly when you have to pack to leave tomorrow, writing a silly little crossword puzzle?'

The rational me could not answer, but the emotional one sure could. It is because I have found an oasis, filled with VERY smart and amusing people, who ask nothing from each other but friendship. The most demanding request is likely to be a hint, and a small one at that, on a puzzle that is daunting them. In a time when I daily get requests for money, labor, consultation or other support from people to whom I have no connection and who have the wit and humor of your basic megalith, to have stumbled on an entire community of friends, in the true sense of the word, is amazing. I have gotten more offers of support when I am down and encouragement when I am up than from all the formalized support venues added together. You people are my pack, my family, and I care deeply for you all. We have our quirks (Lord knows mine are well documented) but people rush to defend you as if you had shared a womb. Happy Holidays to all my goofy, wonky, brilliant family!

NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges where needed; metas should be about fun, not frustration. Send me what you have done so far because often you are closer than you think!
