I think that becomes clear if you get a question you're stumped on. For each of the five questions, they prepare three different questions that give you the same answer. So if you don't know the answer in the context of the first question, you might recognize it in terms of the second or third. : That's what I figured, after I'd completed the game, during which I just gave up on the ones I couldn't get, not realizing that I had chances to answer for fewer points.
