"Look Both Ways" by ajk
Happy Sunday.
The recent discussion of 'classic' (or not) TV, put me in mind of other things classic, which led naturally to music. I'm very confident that today's answer qualifies as a classic rock song, but the path to the solution doesn't require any prior knowledge of the song. A quick google of the two words should confirm it. Overall, this should hopefully be a pretty breezy Sunday solve. Indeed, if I had the lack of wisdom to try and predict a difficulty level, I would consider it pretty ea...straightforward.
Thanks to @Abide, @Wendy Walker, and @Cap'n Rick for test solving, and for some suggestions to straighten the path a bit.
As usual, thanks to @Joe Ross for tech support, especially for this one, as it was a pretty quick turn-around.
The meta answer is a two-word classic rock song.

Nudges later today, if needed. And I am of course always available via PM for additional help. Reveal on Saturday.
Hope you enjoy!
cheers,
Alan

Sssolved! Fun one. Thanks, Alan.
Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta!

It needs to be year-round.

In that case, I think Peter @Abide is accepting metas from new creators!

SSSolved!
Fun!
And yes, let’s keep up the conversation about what’s classic or not. I for one feel that “Ishtar” is an unfairly maligned near-masterpiece. (Well, mostly. There’s a draggy part near the end.)

The first sentence of the intro ("classic. .. music") had me expecting Mozart. Oh well, I understand that this other guy is supposed to be pretty good too.

Sssolved nudgelesssly
If you want help with a meta, feel free to PM me. The more specific you are about what you have and what you want, the more likely I can help without spoiling.
(And if I help you win a mug, I’ll be especially delighted.)
