I felt extremely confident when I submitted but now all these posts are making me doubt my answer 😵‍💫

I think it best to keep Isaac company the rest of the weekend so I don't fall into another rabbit hole. I will leave you with a lovely dancing match.

This one is unambiguous. If you have it, you’ll be 100% confident.

Had just about given up but my daughter saw something and then everything just clicked. I actually thought that was the answer and was trying to back solve for it. No way that would have worked!

Thanks to a very kind muggle we are on shore. Wouldn't have gotten this other wise. Won't be submitting but we definitely appreciate the construction and the help!

Still on the Ship.
I've revisited this enough the last couple of days that it's becoming not so much fun, so I'm just gonna throw in the towel.

I seem to be completely stuck. Anyone willing to provide a nudge?

OK, cruise director, after chasing a couple of fruitless rabbits, I can declare with absolute confidence, I am lost at sea. Thanks, Isaac, for keeping the cabernet flowing. I plan to look for a little help on Sunday. For now, one more refill and then off to bed.
Good luck to all for a successful solve. If you see that I'm ashore - rare occasion of late - message me if you'd like a nudge. Be sure to include your progress so I can know better how to assist.

With a slight nudge from a solving buddy to confirm I was on the right track, I have finally made it ashore. Typical Patrick Berry puzzle--elegant and very well thought out. 55D, I say.

Oof. That was hard. Very satisfying, though.

Took three days but I’ve washed up on shore. Struggled to get from four to six.

I won't be able to join the ZOOM call tonight, and I'm still at sea.
Anyone willing to send me a gentle nudge? I got nuthin other than completing the fill.

Addendum: Got it. Right after I hit SEND...

I feel like I should be giving this more effort but knowing it is hard, having house guests this weekend, and wanting to keep my dignity in tack and nut grub for a nudge. I'm trying to simply walk away. But I'm worried learning the answer will be clever and cursing that I didn't try harder
Funny story. I was all set to enter Par for the course for the CrossHare midi contest for April but I mistakenly thought midi meant 7x 7 and not 11 x 11. Oops. Well.... Here's a complex but **small** meta on the subject of golf.

The answer is clever.

It’s not so much that the meta is hard, it’s just hard to not get sucked into rabbit holes on the simple elegant path
If you want help with a meta, feel free to PM me. The more specific you are about what you have and what you want, the more likely I can help without spoiling.

(And if I help you win a mug, I’ll be especially delighted.)
