"All for one and one for all! (But first, we nap.)"

---

As I think I alluded to on the above blog, I'll be contending with both a wild WSJ and a Week 5 MGWCC, along with general responsibilities (oh, yeah, those) this weekend! My gift to you was an easier meta because I totally planned it that way.

Prizes for the Top Ten in the Summer of Solves (You're welcome! I need to reply to individual messages) have been sent, and the random runner-up drawing is slated for October. Onward!

---

Little to say, except this hopefully telegraphs as a Level 1. Also, be nice to me this week, my Cubs just collapsed.

71. Triple Double

The answer to the meta is a famous individual who once opened a restaurant.

Deadline is Saturday, October 7 at 1 pm ET.

Good luck, and may all your solves be beautiful!

Mikey G

Very nice! I made an assumption that kept this from being a week 1 experience. A Muggle ought never to assume.

I'm making 10 assumptions on the WSJ, and they're not getting me anywhere.

"A Muggle ought never to assume." I should put that in my office!

I've solved the puzzle. I see the things. I don't know what to do. I'm not even going to bother with the Gaffney this week, the way my luck is going.
Happy to give nudges. If you notice I've solved, please tell me about avenues you've explored so I can nudge you in the right direction and not off a cliff.

I've figured out 1 of the 3 weekend puzzles so far, but then again, it's mine.

I was going to write the full adage, but I didn’t want to accuse anyone on the forum of being a……..donkey.

Wow, you really had to put yourself in Mikey's place to be able to solve that grid!
Speaking of Mikey's place, I never pictured it quite so tastefully furnished and exquisitely decorated as it seems it is....

I think that's good, right?? Cats and coffee, sign me up!

We're off to a solid 30 to start, and feel free to use mine as a "chaser" after a particularly grueling WSJ and/or MGWCC!

:crossed_swords: :rabbit: :cat: Talk about overthinking. Or underthinking. Or NOT thinking. This one took me way too long. Another beauty of a puzzle, Mikey. Thanks!

Got it, but only with a couple of nudges. The answer was ENTIRELY unknown to me!
Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta!

Kinda embarrassed I had to Onelook it.

Nice job on the 4 15s. Impressive!

Solved yesterday after a fresh look that gave me inspiration for the correct search term to lead me to the answer. Quite impressive themers too.
