#1 on the board!!! Was definitely surprised when I solved at 12:12 to see that none of the usual suspects had submitted yet.

What a fun puzzle! I'm always in awe at Matt's ability to come up with all these different metanisms.

On in the blackjack position. Brilliant puzzle. I had part of it in about five minutes and then took another 45 minutes to seal the deal because I wasn't thinking properly...whew.

Have a great weekend, filled with touching moments!

I think I have it but not super confident. My standings were royally screwed up earlier this summer by a gun-jump, so I may as well go for it…

UPDATE — yeah my “maybe/probably” was a no. But I had a good argument for it, which I submitted with my answer. Not good enough, I guess.

UPDATED UPDATE - now I’m on the board, at the time that I first submitted a (formerly wrong now acceptable) answer. Gaffney is a reasonable man.

Looks like I got the wrong answer, and I came up with another one after the fact that I would say is about as elegant as the one I submitted.

Of course I could be off base with both, but did anyone else come up with two possible answers?

Beamed at #36 and it was a 100%er. Week 3 of 5 seems to be my sweet spot.

Swung and missed, sigh. Should have waited to see if I could get to 100% certainty, but I didn't want to be second-guessing myself all weekend...

Grid was a bear. Comment on the meta - well, that could be a spoiler:) I do see why there's some uncertainty, but felt confident enough to call for beam up, and I am safely back on the starship/leaderboard.
If you want help with a meta, feel free to PM me. The more specific you are about what you have and what you want, the more likely I can help without spoiling.

(And if I help you win a mug, I’ll be especially delighted.)

Argh. In the frustrating zone. See the the theme easily and knock out a few well-it-could-be-these-keys concepts but quickly see it's none of those and then think "that's okay; they were just brain-storms I'm sure there's something else quite straight-forward; maybe I'll see it soon" and then ... not seeing it, and beginning to wonder if it's because you aren't clearing your head and worrying that if you don't see it in the first 20 minutes you usually never see it...

Frustrated guy in frustrating zone is frustrated.
Funny story. I was all set to enter Par for the course for the CrossHare midi contest for April but I mistakenly thought midi meant 7x 7 and not 11 x 11. Oops. Well.... Here's a complex but **small** meta on the subject of golf.

I'm w/ you, woozy - part 1 looked ridiculously easy, then thought I had a path forward, and after one step, halted, and realized that was a box canyon, no exits
