Row row rowed my boat safely to the shore.
Already had my morning tea, and now I want some more.
...Remember there are worse things than a shattered chandelier...

If you see I'm ashore and need a nudge, feel free to message me.

Good Saturday morning muggles

First welcome to our newest muggle - dilli

And if you are along the Massachusetts or Maine coasts or anywhere else in the path of hurricane Lee, be careful. Although it has been downgraded, it is still powerful.

For our newbies, when you are stuck there are several resources to learn about metas under viewforum.php?f=18 including ways to approach meta as well as past metas and solutions. If you want a nudge on a particular meta, send a Private Message to someone who has solved the meta and tell them what you have done and where you are stuck. The person will get back to you by a PM and you can go from there. Finally there are the zoom sessions on Friday at 4:30 and Sunday at 8 pm ET to hear where other muggles are stuck and collectively come to a solution all under the watchful, emotive and helpful eyes of solvers like wendy walker

Mike has given us an interesting challenge and like we found out last night on the zoom call, a meta filled with interesting rabbit holes. We have 3 on the ship and 180 on the shore.

On the ship are

ray
dilli
Janet

On a moderately crowded shore are

Maybe today or tomorrow on Oktoberfest Zinzinnati. My first goto is Warsteiner Dunkel with a Limburger & onion sandwich. The sanch helps create space amongst the hundreds of thousands on 5th Street. 😆

I do add a Sam's & other local suds.

Bearcats tonight!

Limburger and onion . . . oy vey! Wouldn't it be easier just to carry an open slice of durian fruit?
Good luck to all for a successful solve. If you see that I'm ashore - rare occasion of late - message me if you'd like a nudge. Be sure to include your progress so I can know better how to assist.

Good Lord. I can't believe I had to talk this puzzle over with my wife in order to see the hook. She uttered some magic words, and immediate illumination. But she didn't know they were magic -- there is that solace.

In any case, I'll be ashore shortly.

I am ashore…a rare Thursday event for me…
Brrr only 37 degrees when I got up this morning!!
C or F? We had a cool front blow in, so this week we had the first day in a couple of months that we didn't get up to 37C. Oh, and rain! for the first time in a couple of months, also.
It was 37 degrees F. Rather chilly after such a hot summer!!

Ashore! 🏖️ I haven't visited the forum or done the puzzle for 10 months, but I was bored and looking for something that might spark joy. If you remember my career and personal interests, you'll understand how I solved this one about halfway through filling in the grid.

Finally ashore after getting caught in a riptide and swimming many miles off course. Can’t believe it took me so long. Pursued many different rabbits and even came up with alternate solutions, but none of them seemed right. Thought I was missing something obvious and indeed I was.

8 or 9 entries above I said I'd be ashore shortly. Well, guess I'm gonna have to have another confab with my wife. Still at sea and feeling like that's where I'll stay if left to myself.
