OTC. I had a much harder time with the grid than the meta. Great team effort!

Great puzzle, meta, and clues! Nicely done. I don't know if I'll ever get any of my kids to collaborate on a puzzle, but I'll see if I can get any takers when I see them this weekend
Contest Crosswords Combating Cancer (CCCC) is a bundle of 16 contest-style (meta) crosswords that we've created to help raise money for cancer-related organizations - get the bundle at http://crosswordsforcancer.com

15A also brought back some ancient memories for me. Also, I'm off the couch - without too much fuss once I solved this challenging grid.HeadinHome wrote: ↑Mon Aug 28, 2023 5:29 am
Enjoyed this diversion and the fresh cluing! Simple but elegant,, with a self-confirming solution word… nice!
Not ashamed to say I knew 15A immediately (and now the earworm…). Then look who shows up a few lines down!

Off the couch.
Tough grid for me. Which means I learned a few things. Always a plus.
1D cracked me up.

Off the couch! I loved the clues, as have many others. Don't be a stranger.

Delighted to have you join us, Caroline.
And thanks to you both for the puzzle.
In honor of the clueing (Sweet!) as well as references to numbers and time, I'll post this --
(Apologies if you've absolutely hated it all your life! )

Off the couch, thank you!

PS: If you want help with a meta, PM what you have so I can help without spoiling too much. I've received lots of help in the beginning and I love to pay it forward!

I have the answer. I just don't use it very often.
It's nice to see how cluing looks from the other end of the age distribution.

Really fun! And TWO cat-related clues -- love it! A super-nice debut, Caroline. Thanks to both you and your Proud Papa!
Good luck, fellow Muggles!
