Same as many above. Got the first (and maybe second) step. But then... nope.
Happy to give nudges. If you notice I've solved, please tell me about avenues you've explored so I can nudge you in the right direction and not off a cliff.

Beamed!

Can’t say I solved it alone. Lurking in the Discord helped.

Well, here comes my first request for a teeny nudge in that I want to know if Matt's hint is actually what I am 89.72% certain it does mean or does it actually mean something else. Just a simple yes/no answer...

*sigh*
Funny story. I was all set to enter Par for the course for the CrossHare midi contest for April but I mistakenly thought midi meant 7x 7 and not 11 x 11. Oops. Well.... Here's a complex but **small** meta on the subject of golf.

I have gotten a bit further than Matt's first hint. I am going to keep trying. But, if Matt's second hint does not help I may seek further assistance.

Beam me up! I totally overcomplicated it at first. Too much knowledge can be a bad thing. Luckily @Meg helped me see the light.

Sheesh.

Beaming. No hints.

I need to take my own advice. Actually, I need to take the advice of the many muggles from whom I learned or should have learned.

Got it with @KayW's very gentle nudges. I had pieces in the wrong place and was pretty sure I had to carry something further which in reality had been completely done, and I had to move something else in a place I really didn't think of putting it.

It's fun and satisfying.

I can see that here. This has a lot of potential for rabbit holes if you're not careful, though I suppose all (non-Level 1!!) metas do!

Hint 2 is excellent IMO.

A fun puzzle! Had to fiddle with the final step a bit. I came up with an answer that would have fulfilled a different criterion. Anyone else did that?

Hint 1 was something I'd already found. Hint 2 got me there.

Since I didn't talk to anyone about it, does that count as a solo solve? Just curious what people think.

Very happy to get a week four even if I needed the second hint. Did not need the first one, had already seen what I needed to see. Just wasn’t sure what to do with it all.

An interesting one from Matt!

Stay well all

I found most of the crucial pieces but got fixated on something for far too long. I got some advice on what NOT to look for. Eventually I saw a path to the answer. It was a sure thing and I beamed aboard. Looking back on my answer I noticed the correct path which made the answer a 100% lock. I wonder how many others may have leaped to the shortcut.

Using the shortcut gave me a reasonable answer that I was 80% sure of. It felt like a week 2 1/2 and I confirmed with someone before submitting. (So not a solo solve.)

The real path took more observation and work but gave a 100% answer. And I would say a week 4 rating was just about right.
