NOTE ON REPORTING POSTS:

When reporting posts for inappropriate content, please use each posts' reporting feature at top/right rather than PMing a moderator or two. It's the ! icon.

Doing so alerts all moderators so that the issue can be handled soonest.

Doing so also makes it much easier for moderators to correct the issue, since the report brings the tools needed to the correct posts immediately to hand.

PMs regarding multiple posts may seem efficient, logically, but post numbers reported in PMs may be different for moderators, due to pending deletions & edits of posts on the same thread. Even when correctly numbered, it becomes a hunting game for a moderator to find each post.

On a positive note, muggles are fantastic at policing themselves! The number of issues moderators have to correct are few for the traffic this site generates. Of those issues that do need correction, a large majority are borderline.

Good Saturday morning muggles

Among the throngs on our crowded shore is our newest muggle KayKay - welcome and great to have more muggles.

Although it happens infrequently, occasionally we have postings which push the envelope of what is acceptable. For all of us, any posting which gives away a path to the meta or even the answer to a clue should be avoided. We have moderators who do a great job on this but if you see a posting that you think crosses the line click the "!" button above the post. That alerts the moderator and gives them the tools they have to address the issue. Most often with this group it is a grey area or just a mistake that is easily addressed or rectified.

So far we have 222 muggles on the shore and an empty bar on the ship. If you missed it, the record number of muggles on the shore is 290 from July 1, 2022. If I missed you in the crowd, send me a PM and I will correct it.
