MGWCC #790 — Friday, July 21st, 2023 — “To What Lengths Will You Go?”
Well, I hope that today’s puzzle will play like a Week III, or even Week II since last week's was so tough!
THIS WEEK’S INSTRUCTIONS:
This week’s contest answer is a word that describes how contest crosswords should be written
Solve well, and be not led astray by words intended to deceive.

Haven't been able to focus on WSJ yet, but saw the path here early and have submitted. 7th on the board.

I pewtered (4th place), so I'll take it! Level 2.5 or 3 at the most in my eyes. Good luck!

Looks like that was Matt's intention since last week played so hard.

I totally struck out last week, whereas I saw the metanism pretty quickly this week, so I'm much happier now. I'm #14 on the leaderboard after a slightly delayed start.

In at number 16. Now back to the WSJ, which I'm finding to be many, many times harder this week.
Or maybe it's just me.

Really fun! I learned my lesson from one that baffled me a few weeks back.
Good luck, fellow Muggles!

Submitted, just missed an update but confident. Definitely closer to a Week 2 than last weeks IMO.
Update: #29! Not bad for a late start (~1.5 hours after release). I have a theory why this might be playing easier for some...

Seductive rabbit hole in this one, felt like it HAD to be the right path, but it was totally irrelevant.

Just submitted. Confident in my answer. Very fun solve once I figured out what was going on.
Now back to the more difficult (to me) WSJ meta.

What ky-mike just said. Confident (a common bit of software helped), but still with Isaac on the other one.

Beamed.
My goal for next week is to download the puzzle successfully before Jangler has successfully solved it.
