The August Maltby is online!!!
(I’ve heard a rumor that some people have received their physical copies, in the mail, already. Not me, though.)

I did it this morning. Not my favorite, but it certainly passed the time (and gave my sleepy brain a reason to wake up). I'm still waiting for my July copy, which I reported as MIA. The fine folks at Harper's didn't seem to care about sending me a replacement, opting instead to extend my subscription by a month.

I thought the “gimmick” was fun.

And my hard copy did, indeed, arrive Monday afternoon. (Rain-wrinkled, but readable.)

I’m finally getting my copy at the normal time after a long period when it showed up weeks late if at all. Fun, not too difficult puzzle, though I wasn’t wild about some of the grammar.

This one gave me more trouble than most recent REMJ’s, but again, once I got some good footholds, it rolled nicely.

I feel there was ONE clue that I get, but do not "get." (31-down) I understand the wordplay, but I am not too happy about the definition.

Everyone may have moved on from the August Maltby since we’re at month’s end, but I just completed it and do not understand the wordplay behind 1D. If anyone would be kind enough to enlighten me via DM I would be very appreciative.
I enjoyed the gimmick, BTW.
