I See It!
Ahoy Muggles!
I'm very pleased to be part of another meta collaboration today - this time with Chris Barbee (@cbarbee002). Chris came up with the idea for the mechanism, and I helped construct the grid. He's traveling this week, so I'll be handling the hosting duties. I hope you have as much fun solving this meta as I did co-creating it. We'd like to thank @Abide, @Al Sisti, @boharr, @whimsy, @MarkWoychick, and @Joe Ross for pretesting and technical help.
The answer to this meta is a seven-letter word starting with N.

Couch vacated! Thanks Chris and Rick!
Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta!

OTC, but not sure I dismounted correctly. This one involves a fun hunt once you catch on.

Very good stuff, thanks folks. A couple of brief diversions before spotting the true path, and then a brief interlude at the very end before it clicked.
Check out this very cool project by many of your favorite muggles to raise money to fight cancer. You get a fun puzzle bundle and good causes get $. Win-win: Crosswords for Cancer

OTC - likely in same slightly inelegant manner as @HeadinHome but hoping someone on Crosshare will fill in the blank(s)!

Filled the grid shortly after it posted at midnight intent on a speedy solve, but I (didn't) See It until just now. Good challenge, nice aha! Thanks, fellas!

Off the couch! Very nice!
If you want help with a meta, feel free to PM me. The more specific you are about what you have and what you want, the more likely I can help without spoiling.
(And if I help you win a mug, I’ll be especially delighted.)

OTC. A little hiccup after I did the grid at midnight, but saw the proper path quickly when I returned to it this afternoon. Nice job guys!

OTC - while I am listed as a test solver, I didn't actually solve it until now. Fun puzzle, thanks, Rick and Chris!

I'm kind of jealous of people who can walk away from something and come back afresh and then just see it.
Unless I obsess on something every second I was away (which isn't good for me) coming back to something is like seeing something entirely unfamiliar-- a grid precompleted by someone else.

Funny story. I was all set to enter Par for the course for the CrossHare midi contest for April but I mistakenly thought midi meant 7x 7 and not 11 x 11. Oops. Well.... Here's a complex but **small** meta on the subject of golf.
