Needed nudge 4 (did not need nudges 2 and 3)... Feel kind of dumb for looking one direction but not the other.
Funny story. I was all set to enter Par for the course for the CrossHare midi contest for April but I mistakenly thought midi meant 7x 7 and not 11 x 11. Oops. Well.... Here's a complex but **small** meta on the subject of golf.

Ahoy Muggles!
The meta answer is "NOMADIC" - a 7-letter word starting with "N" that, per 39A, is a SYNONYM for "MIGRATING". "How do we get to MIGRATING?" you ask. Well, the first step was to make like a texter and shorten the title from "I See It!" to "IC It!" Then you needed to identify all grid entries to which the letters "IC" could be appended. Those 9 symmetrically-placed entries were 1A MYTH, 10A IRON, 17A GALL, 19A RUST, 25D ACROBAT (a tricky one for many), 61A TACT, 65A ICON, 69A NORD, and 71A GOTH. The first letters of these entries, in grid order, spell M-I-G-R-A-T-I-N-G. Hopefully you didn't "wander around" too much while trying to solve this one.
