On shore. Was on shore halfway thru the solve. Felt like teleporting to the beach.

Teetotaling tonight. Sipping a flavored carbonated water here in the sand.

The gauntlet has been thrown. Come on meta creators!
Reminds me of a couple of years ago when @madhatter5 managed to put "orbisculate" into a MEOW. It's not actually a word (yet?) but doing so was part of a challenge when a brother and sister were trying get it accepted as one in honor of their dad who had died of Covid. It means "squirting juice from a grapefruit, etc. into your eye" while attempting to eat it. Growing up, they never realized that their dad had simply made it up. So now they've decided that would serve as a great tribute to him.
What a way to honor their dad's memory. I'm going to start using that word to help it spread. Here goes . . .

I'm ashore, but the beach is already so busy, I had trouble finding my regular barkeep to make me a Gin and Juice. Eventually had to settle for a rookie, and he orbisculated me when he tried to get all the grapefruit into my high ball.

On the very cold beach in NH.

(checks calendar...) Yes it *is* June, but it feels like November.

The Smarter Half's birthday, I gave her my love.
She said,"You've not solved it?" then gave me a shove.

Man, did I dig some rabbit holes! Got the first step at once...then spent 36 hours with spade in hand.

Lydie solved it Thursday night and has been encouraging me ever since. "Needling," I call it. The brat.

Ashore.
For nudges, feel free to PM me. I won't have a clue how to help you, but you might shove me ashore.

Good Saturday morning muggles.

First a warm welcome to our two newest muggles - Tcassutt and Craven_Mug_Craver. Welcome to the clan and if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Second - my sympathies to any parents or grandparents in New England who are suffering through outdoor graduations this weekend. We got to the Framingham (that is right next to the famous town of Natick for crossword puzzle solvers) football stadium just as it started to rain and thunder. We cowered under the stands for an hour until they postponed the graduation to Sunday. Forecast for all day Sunday - 50 or 51 degrees, drizzle or light rain and just enough wind to make it miserable. Does this count as cruel and unusual punishment for grandparents?

On a better note, we have 215 muggles on the shore so Isaac continues to send supplies to the sunny warm beach. The record by the way is 290.
