Late start as usual, beam up requested. Impressive! I suspected how it would work halfway through the grid, but it took me a while just to finish the other half.

That was fun. A bit of deja vu, then, oh but it’s different, then, “now he’s just showing off!” :)
If you want help with a meta, feel free to PM me. The more specific you are about what you have and what you want, the more likely I can help without spoiling.

(And if I help you win a mug, I’ll be especially delighted.)

It took me awhile to solve the grid & longer create the spreadsheet, then I took a break. When I revisited (while watching PGA), I had the epiphany.

I don't enjoy 21x21 grids but see the need. This is yet another well-crafted meta!

Late start but beam has been requested! I really enjoyed this despite how much I relied on Google for the grid. I hope it's allowed to say here, too, that the answer happens to be one of my favorite things.

Filled out the grid, slowly on Puz, during back-to-back 8U baseball games. Had to grab a piece of paper to help figure out the answer, but thankfully came to me quicker than the grid solve!
Beamed inside the top 100. I’ll take it for a mobile solve ;)

Awaiting the beam with confidence...

... and I'm beamed! Nice palate cleanser after last week's slog. :D

Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta!

Well I believe I have done the first step, and it looks pretty clear what I have to do to get the next one, I just cannot do it. Perhaps sleep will clear the cobwebs from going down way too many dead ends.
NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges where needed; metas should be about fun, not frustration. Send me what you have done so far because often you are closer than you think!

Awaiting response from the transporter room.

EDIT: Beamed aboard.

I stumbled across the final step while trying to force what I was sure needed to be done. This seems like a very difficult construction. And thank goodness for LASIK surgery so I could read the clues!

Finished the grid and have found what I'm sure is step 1. I will keep looking at what I've created but may need a nudge later.

The eye exercise I got from solving the grid probably made it easier to see the solution.

Submitted and awaiting confirmation, but 💯 confident!

That grid was something else, but worth the slog!
