That was a fun one! Late start, but glad to finish before the weekend. Enjoying a refreshing Paloma on the beach.

Ashore. I always start Friday night and usually need to percolate until Saturday am to find the path, but got this one without having to sleep on it. Quite satisfying solve to boot, gonna sleep well :D

Took me forever to get to it but got it fairly simple.

I'll have what she's having but make it a double.
Funny story. I was all set to enter Par for the course for the CrossHare midi contest for April but I mistakenly thought midi meant 7x 7 and not 11 x 11. Oops. Well.... Here's a complex but **small** meta on the subject of golf.

Grid done and now working on getting to shore. How can a four letter answer be so elusive?🤔

Just not seeing it. So I’m working on the plurality of spring chores back in the stern garden on the ship while checking out the rabbit holes

@mrmd Congratulations on the win. Some wins are elegant and some are ugly so take them all. Great to have another muggle get the mug.

This NC Tar Heel is on shore. Beer me! Grid and Meta solved. 100% confident in my answer. Did not have an easy time with this one. Lot's of rabbit holes. I found it much harder than the Friday jack-rabbits led me to believe.

Ashore! A little late getting started but getting to shore was just the right level of challenge for a novice muggle like me. Very cool puzzle by MS and lots of fun. Will enjoy a Bombay Sapphire martini later this evening. Have a great weekend everyone.

Well done, Mr. Shenk, with a well-designed puzzle. Glad to get ashore just in time for the Minnesota fishing opener.

Back when songs were simply songs to enjoy.

We are always happy to get to know other muggles and help in any way! PM's are always welcome. The next best thing to winning a mug is helping a fellow muggle win a mug!

Good morning muggles

A great meta from Mr. Shenk - extremely clever construction

First welcome to our newest muggles - Agagorn, chloivia and JackStrawfrom Witchita (a great screen name)

Before we get to the scorekeeping, one of the great features of this forum is establishing friendships all around the world with people who share your interest and passion. And finding a solving buddy is probably one of my favorite parts. With metas I found that brains work very differently and having a solving buddy is a lifesaver. Things that come easily to me are hard for my solving buddy @MaineMarge but the majority of times, she can see the direction to the shore while I am trying to row the boat with one oar. I look at solving buddies not as cheating but as my wife puts it "my meta spouse" since she is not into metas.

And the zoom sessions on Friday at 4:30 and Sunday at 8 are like having a solving family. Great fun and a learning experience. For new people, do not let fear, shyness or anything else keep you from joining the zoom sessions. I guarantee that there is someone on that session who has gone down the same rabbit hole that you have or something similar and the combined minds get you to the shore.

So far we have 8 on the ship and 180 on the shore.

On the ship with Isaac for brunch are
hunkra

Fogway
Janet

DannyWalter
JeanneC

So I'm 99% sure I'm ashore. I have one small nagging issue. Everything is elegant, ties together with the theme perfectly, except for one small thing.

Of course, right after I posted that I found the typo in my grid. I am now at 100% and will unroll my towel.
