I test-solved this, and it was brilliant!

Very clever! Loved filling in the grid on this one.
Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta!

Wow, that was a challenging grid. Seemed like lots of stuff I didn’t know plus … well, you know how it goes.

The meta was lovely and definitely worth the work of getting there
If you want help with a meta, feel free to PM me. The more specific you are about what you have and what you want, the more likely I can help without spoiling.

(And if I help you win a mug, I’ll be especially delighted.)

Grid was doubly tricky for me; where my cultural knowledge failed wasn't helped by the mechanism requirements! :P

But I showed some endurance a la 2D and 58A to reach the reward of the meta solution.
Thanks for the nifty puzzle, Paolo!

Great construction, and a challenging yet really fun solve.

I saw Wendy's comments above, and went back to see what else Paolo had done... ahh, now I recognize the name: Butterfly Effect, one of my absolutely favorite solves ever. Just brilliant! So glad to get another challenge here, Paolo!

Amazing stuff, as I would have expected. Definitely a slog to fill in the grid, for obvious reasons plus my being too old, but the post-fill progression was pretty great. Total confusion ⇒ oh, that's interesting ⇒ oh, I get it ⇒ oh, I GET IT.

Wowza. Toughest grid yet for me, but the payoff was worth it. Clever and fun!
