Better late than never.
The site is just a web page, a meeting place, a clubhouse - it's the group that's special.

Hey, that would be a good meta answer! :)
If you want help with a meta, feel free to PM me. The more specific you are about what you have and what you want, the more likely I can help without spoiling.

(And if I help you win a mug, I’ll be especially delighted.)

I've submitted, hopeful but not quite 100%.

Eta - #8. Guess I'm now 100%. Won't say more to avoid spoilers.

Same

Board has updated but I’m not there… (either this week or overall)

I have an answer but it doesn’t feel 100% either. I’m hesitant to submit it just yet.

Edit: I did end up submitting and like @Danny Vee, I’m neither on the leaderboard nor the Overall tab. Hmm.

Edit2: looks like my answer was accepted. Phew! The streak survives another week. 😊

It's not a 100%, but it can't be anything else in my eyes, so therein lies the paradox. Awaiting the beam!

Okay I have an answer but it doesn’t really make me say “aha!”… I think I’m going to have to phone a friend for confirmation…

Right there with a bunch of you. Have an answer that makes sense, though it's not 100%. But, since my streak ended last week, I submitted anyway.

Edit: On the board. Highest I've ever been on a week 4. Or ever, I think.

Right near each other - congrats!

(Also, love your avatar - been meaning to tell you for a while, haha.)

I was about to submit my first top-10 entry but hesitated (I'm sure for the same reason as everyone else), but finally submitted. I am on the board at 44th.

Thanks! I picked that avatar when the WSJ contest puzzle was titled "Connect Four" (12/4/2020). The original caption on the meme was, "Valiant effort, Mr. Bond. However, you neglected to look diagonally."

I've also got an answer that has to be it. But -- can't pull the trigger.

Submitted. Very sure based on what happened to me but it would be a spoiler to detail that here.

And yet, with a 100-week streak on the line, I keep refreshing . . .

EDIT: Bingo! And easier to find my nickname with the red 100 behind it!

Sorry, I stole #50 from you!

I had what I'm sure is the same doubt as others — I think I understand why it's the way it is, but also wondering if I just missed something. I hope all will be explained next week.

Glad I phoned a friend (thank you @docison), who pushed me muttering and grumbling across the line at #49.
