DIAGRAMLESS (NYT 4/16/23)

The NYT variety puzzle this week is a Diagramless. I've been doing diagramless puzzles for years and this is one of the toughest I've seen. I did finish it but it was a real challenge. Curious to hear from others who worked on it.

Tougher than usual. I got down near the bottom doing reasonably well when I realized that I needed a couple of additional columns. Should have counted the columns from the start.
