Made it ashore with ten minutes to spare before the final zoom call! Just as I hit submit, the notification piped up for it.

Quick and elegant once I put in some effort. Worth the effort and off the ship!

Oog. Maybe I should have tried it. Got a nudge and... oh. There it is. I won't submit, but I probably should have tried harder. It's there. And it's clever.
Funny story. I was all set to enter Par for the course for the CrossHare midi contest for April but I mistakenly thought midi meant 7x 7 and not 11 x 11. Oops. Well.... Here's a complex but **small** meta on the subject of golf.

Good evening muggles
Our final total is 12 on the ship and 183 on the shore.

Good luck to all winning the mug and stay safe

@Bob cruise director, I made it to shore, just under the wire! (An appropriate phrase for this one, since it is derived from horse racing!)

Crossed the finish line at the last moment! Ashore. Wine me, please.

Also, on an unrelated note - I am watching the 25th Anniversary Phantom of the Opera in honor of the curtain closing on its last performance on Broadway tonight. Raising my wine to all involved in the musical over the many years.
...Remember there are worse things than a shattered chandelier...

If you see I'm ashore and need a nudge, feel free to message me.

On shore, enjoying a nice bourbon barrel-aged stout.

By a length. If it had been 11 pm it would have been by a neck and at 11:45 it would have been by a nose or just under the wire. (my definitions only).

I don't have high hopes for this meta since I know nothing about horse racing or betting so I am not too motivated. But, despite not being a betting person, I bet that I won't solve this meta.

Ha, ha! Good thing I never gamble/bet. I would have lost even the one I thought was a sure bet. Gave one more look at the puzzle figuring I have to try the one thing I always resist....and there it was; clear as day. I literally know only one thing about betting that I learned in a movie once decades ago and it came in handy here.

As a racing enthusiast, I was going to be very embarrassed if I didn’t get it. Took me just a bit though. Loved it!
