Off the couch. Didn't find the Easter Eggs until I solved the puzzle, but then they were obvious. Great meta, Cap'n!

Cap’n Rick puzzles are always a favorite round these parts. This was one of those ones where I didn’t even see a mechanism but somehow got the answer via osmosis, then went back and looked and could really appreciate the craftsmanship.

Huh. See neither Easter eggs nor meta. I'm definitely getting dumb in my middle age.

Off the couch. Used the mechanism to solve and then had fun looking for the Easter Eggs. Really enjoyed the clue for 40A.

Wednesday Nudges

Here they are!

Sometimes meta titles need to be taken very literally - like "Man Overboard!" for instance.

Do you happen to see any grid entries that can be a type of "BOARD"?

What do you notice about the grid entries that are above (or "OVER") these five "BOARD" entries?

Another "BOARD" reference, and another nickname for this famous person, can be found at the Easter egg crossing of 15A and 7D.

The remaining Easter eggs associated with this Rat Pack member can be found at 32D, 38A, 44A, 51D, 59A, and 63D.

The nudges helped things click into place, and the Easter Eggs confirmed it. Nice puzzle, Cap'n Rick!

Solved using a couple of the hints (I was most of the way there, but saw some distractions in the grid). Confirmed on Crosshare.
