A streak - the very thing you would think would give you confidence - is the very thing that makes you doubt every answer you come up with.

I have an answer that must be right.

But is it?

Arrrrrrgh!!

This is the quote of the week.

Well, I'm sure as heck not using it!

I see some tantalizing tidbits, but I can't make anything out of them. Yet. I have hope.
Happy to give nudges. If you notice I've solved, please tell me about avenues you've explored so I can nudge you in the right direction and not off a cliff.

Oh, I have *something* that would make for a funny (cynical) valid answer. It *might* be it but I doubt it. I'll play with it for a few days.
Funny story. I was all set to enter Par for the course for the CrossHare midi contest for April but I mistakenly thought midi meant 7x 7 and not 11 x 11. Oops. Well.... Here's a complex but **small** meta on the subject of golf.

Grrr. I had all the pieces, but made an assumption and pulled the trigger too soon. I got a nudge after the fact from a fellow muggle and figured out the correct answer. It is much much tighter, but I still think mine is pretty defensible!

My sympathies - I definitely have been there, done that. Ya know, Matt has been known to accept alternative answers. You can submit your reasoning to him and see what he says.

And I hope you'll share your answer and story post-deadline either way.
