Ahoy Muggles!

It's great to be back on MMM, or as Bill and Ted would say, it's "Most Excellent!". I'm feeling particularly upbeat because, not only is it St. Patrick's Day on Friday, it's also my birthday on Thursday, so I'll have two opportunities to celebrate! Last year my wife and I drove through a blinding snowstorm to Utica, NY where I got to meet one of my favorite Muggles - @Al Sisti - and see his "Blarney Rebel Band" play at Piggy Pats Smoke & Ale House. Al has helped me a lot with my meta puzzles over the past year, and he even suggested the title for this one. To show my appreciation I'm dedicating this meta to him, and I'm even throwing in a second mechanism and answer to boot!

There are two meta answers: One is an 8-letter word. The other is a 2-word phrase.

Most Excellent! - Crosshare (see special submission instructions below*)

Most Excellent! - PUZ

Most Excellent! - PDF

Most Excellent! - Spreadsheet

Off the couch! Nice one, @Cap'n Rick.
Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta!

Of the couch early on a Monday.

But one question....Can Reebok and 11D be rivals if 11D owns Reebok?

Thanks for the Most Excellent puzzle.

Off the couch (unconfirmed but what else could it be). Most excellent indeed. And yes, the hand of brother Al is not hard to see.

Fun one that took some of the sting out of the 10-hour delay in my travel plans today. Thanks!

Got the two-word phrase almost immediately, but took me a beat to get the 8-letter word.
