Cynthia and I have been doing past WSJ Friday puzzles in an effort to learn more about solving. We are now back to 2020. In the "Past WSJ Crossword Contests and Solutions" section, it appears that the month of August, 2020, is missing. Does anyone have those puzzle meta answers?
Don & Cynthia

We are always happy to get to know other muggles and help in any way! PM's are always welcome. The next best thing to winning a mug is helping a fellow muggle win a mug!

I do. They are in the iPad app where I have been doing the puzzles. I’ll PM you.

Mañana meta!

That was truly brutal. Men against boys…
It truly was. On another front I am hopelessly waiting for Italy to pass the Wodden Spoon to someone else, and I was hoping that after the great game vs Ireland a couple of weeks ago that the someone else was going to be Wales, but we choked. But for the first time in a long time I can say that we are competing.

August, 2020
  • When I added September 2020, it's likely that I deleted the August 2020 post. August & September 2020 are in the same post, now.

The answers can be found in their individual Topics, also:
The easiest resource for solving past puzzles & viewing their solutions is provided by @steveb HERE. THANK YOU, Steve!

Isaac is getting to know me too well. Sigh. I can’t even figure out which answers are the meta clues. At least I got the cryptogram done. Slight boost to the ego.

I was headed ashore, but ran aground when my answer appeared Dutch and not English. Hopefully nothing lost in translation.

You - and everyone else - are welcome at the Sunday evening zoom session, 8PM Eastern Daylight Time. Hear about other rabbit holes people have fallen into and get nudged in the right direction.
If you want help with a meta, feel free to PM me. The more specific you are about what you have and what you want, the more likely I can help without spoiling.

(And if I help you win a mug, I’ll be especially delighted.)

Use the 🎥Muggle Zoom Room link at the top of every page on this site. A password isn't necessary.

The link isn't given, since it only shows to those signed in to XWord Muggles. You can, however, bookmark the link once you have it while signed in.

Thanks. I did. But when you do the audio only - using the direct dial, you get asked for a pw. But I’m

A poem upon getting to shore

I do not want to be a bore
I do not want to make you snore
I really should be minding the store
But I’m ashore!

I shall not toss my apple core
This may become the stuff of lore
I really know some words galore
I’m ashore!

I may be no Dumbledore
It doesn’t matter what I wore
But I exult from every pore
I’m ashore!

Fond memories of times of yore
Both likes and things I did abhor
Too many memories to ignore
But I’m ashore!

He is not a stevedore
Perhaps more like a Minotaur
Back from scrapes with blood and gore
I’m ashore!

Of Isaac yes I did implore
Me another drink to pour
You can almost hear me roar
I’m ashore

I left the ship through the back door
My feet barely touching the floor
My nudge providers I adore
Im ashore! 🏖️

(And it’s been a while)

I was just using the call in number and meeting ID listed below the zoom link. When you just call in it asks for a password before it admits you. I didn’t see one posted.

Ashore! Gaffney grids and metas always make more sense to me.
Happy to provide nudges if you see that I have solved.

Oh? Oh. Oh! I'm ashore!
As much money and life as you could want! The two things most human beings would choose above all — the trouble is, humans do have a knack of choosing precisely those things that are worst for them.
