Thanks, Jay!

Well I was so busy looking for somehting diabolical I ignored the thought that came to me at the very beginning, as well as the show name that popped into my mind. It wasn't diabolical just cleverly disguised and I needed someone to say "stop looking for something diabolical" (thanks rjy).
So off the couch and awaiting Bens Tuesday MOAT.
Fun puzzle, killer grid. Though I knew (of) 39D I did not know those were the words and I only knew 42D from crosswords. Thanks for the puzzle Jay

NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges where needed; metas should be about fun, not frustration. Send me what you have done so far because often you are closer than you think!

@Bird Lives Jay - just in my wheelhouse but I just printed it out. I think that the last TV show I watched with any regularity was MASH and most I have never heard of. According to our daughter we live in a cave

If we ever have an MMM month with no constructor names given (for some unknown reason...), I'll bet I could pick out the Bird Lives puzzle!
Good luck, fellow Muggles!

Off the couch. Did the grid this morning and stared at it for a while. Sat down for dinner and took another look. Boom! 30 seconds and I had it.
Fun way to start off the week.
Great show, too.

Think I’m off the couch. Like many, I don’t seem to watch much TV. Except…the Australian Open starts next week !

The first day of binge-solving finds 52 people off the couch, at least metaphorically. As some of the photos here document, several solvers are still lying there with the remote.
, (If I’ve omitted you, please let me know.)
Some commenters seem a tad diffident about their extensive knowledge of TV territory. But hey, these are good shows — or so I’m told. I of course watch only the occasional PBS documentary.
Nudges and more solvers tomorrow.
